A Double Wedding - in which much local interest was centred, took place at the Primitive Methodist Church on Tuesday, the contracting parties being Miss Agnes M. Horne and Mr Stanley Fisher, the eldest son of Mr & Mrs Fisher of Ivy Dene and Miss Ellen M. Horne and Mr Herbert Leveridge of Colton Wood Cottages. The brides (who are sisters) were given away by their father and eldest brother, Mr William Horne and Mr Herbert Horne respectively. Both brides were attired in white silk crepe dresses, and each wore a bridal veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations. Two sisters attended as bridesmaids the Misses Flora and Edith Horne. The Rev A. E. Tucker of Dereham officiated, the duties of best man were carried out by Mr Bertie Leveridge and Mr Wilfred Fisher. A reception was afterwards held at Oddfellows' Hall where upwards of forty guests partook of the wedding breakfast.

The funeral of, Mrs Marjorie Cooper of Oulton Broad, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. G. Leveridge, of Mattishall who died last week in St Albans, took place at Hemsby Congregational Church on Monday.
Mrs Cooper who was 31 lived at Mattishall until her marriage eight months ago. She took and active part in Mattishall Methodist activities and helped to form a weekly prayer group at Oulton Broad. The bearers were members of Mattishall Methodist Church.

3/ Fernley Edith Leveridge married Gordon Rayner on July 18th 1953 at East Dereham - Sep quarter (4b 1126)

Fernley died on April 6th 1979, age 52 from Lou Gehrig's Disease and is buried in Mattishall Burgh Lane Cemetery
Gordon never remarried. In 1980 Gordon immigrated to Canada - Gordon died on May 8th 2015, his obituary is below:

Gordon Rayner passed away peacefully May 8, 2015. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his brother Dave Rayner and daughters Valerie Griffin, Beverley Rayner, Annette Lanoue and their families. He leaves behind eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Fernley, and son Lawrence.
Dad was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England. He served two years in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers where he worked on British and American radar equipment. Dad was a very intelligent and self-taught man. After only nine years of basic education he rose to a management position within PYE, a television factory that had 2,000 employees where he was responsible for production efficiency and designing test equipment. Dad married Fernley Leveridge on July 18, 1953 in Mattishall, Norfolk. A devoted husband and father, he was an Evangelical Christian whose life had a foundation of faith and commitment. Dad was a quiet-spoken, generous and loving man. He retired at age 49 to give Mom full-time care and support throughout the final years of her life.
In 1980, Dad immigrated to Canada and lived in Lethbridge with his daughter Bev and her family. He took a keen interest in his grandchildren's education and contributed to family life in many areas, including homeschooling.
A self-taught pianist who loved music and played all of his life, Dad also had many other interests. He had a keen interest in math, physics and astronomy and as a young man decided to make his own telescopes by grinding glass into lenses on the kitchen table
Throughout his life Dad had a passion to create and design whether it was garden landscape, photography, mosaics or architecture -
A private family celebration of life will be held. He will be lovingly remembered.

Valerie married David C Griffin in the Sep quarter of 1977 at Commadore Mission, In Oulton Broad in the district of Waveney, Suffolk.
Valerie and David had two children: Laurence and Mark
Valerie passed away on May 7th 2018 age 63

Valerie Griffin passed away 7 May, 2018, aged 63. She will be lovingly remembered by her family. She leaves behind two sons, Laurence Griffin (with his wife Lyndsay, and their sons Ashton and Lyric) and Mark Griffin; two sisters, Beverley Rayner and Annette Lanoue, and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Fernley Rayner, and her brother Lawrence.
Valerie was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1979. She lived in Sicamous BC where she had her family, later moving to Vernon BC and then to Lethbridge.
Valerie was a committed Christian. She loved the Lord, and her faith was the firm foundation of all she did. She was loving, generous, and kind to all who knew her. Despite her own limited resources she found ways to bless others she knew, giving without reservation - She’ll be missed and lovingly remembered.

Lawrence drowned off the coast of Swansea while attending University there in the spring of 1977 his body was never found.
