It is known that Nero's brother Walter (above) returned to England from America to carry out missionary work sometime before 1914. Did he encourage Nero to travel back with him as it is recorded that Nero joined the Canadian Army 1915-1918 and fought in the First World War where he was a corporal. Nero's son Leslie Marshall Fisher (1898) also enlisted in the Canadian Military in 1915, he lost his left arm in the war and was discharged before the war ended.
There is a picture of the four brothers taken in England about 1913 - See Walter Fisher (1863) main menu (scroll down page).

A brief summery by Karen King (Fisher) of Canada - Nero's Great Granddaughter.
Julia and Nero went to Canada for a few years, along with their eldest son Leslie, It is not clear if Sidney went but from all account he didn't. Nero and Julia went back to England after WW1, but Leslie stayed in Toronto and married a girl from Greenbrooke Ontario and had a family, Leslie returned to England in the early 1960''s. His oldest son William Leslie Fisher was career army and ended up in British Columbia - His daughter lived in Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, about 15 miles north of Victoria.
